Make a gift through your IRA.
If you are age 70 ½ or older, you can move up to $100,000 from your IRA as a charitable gift to the Linda Hall Library without paying income tax on the money.

Act before Dec. 31, when the legislation allowing this type of gift expires. If you are interested, download our sample letter, complete and take to your IRA administrator. Gifts postmarked by Dec. 31 will count for the 2011 calendar year.
