Supporters of the Linda Hall Library are dedicated to promoting the understanding of and support for the Library's role as an international destination for science, technology, and engineering research and public education, as well as for the Library's urban arboretum.
Contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations are essential to keeping our public programming strong and preserving the collections. All contributions supporting the Library further the work it does to educate and promote the fields of science, engineering, and technology, and encourage the life-long journey of learning.
Contributions to the Annual Fund help the Linda Hall Library extend its resources in ways that inform, enlighten, and lead to a greater understanding of science. The value of the contribution is doubled with our 2014 Matching Gift Campaign because your tax-deductible Annual Fund contribution will have twice the impact.
Annual Fund contributions help the Library:
Your generous gift to the Annual Fund assists the Library in offering learning opportunities that lead to a greater understanding of science and technology. Your gift is a statement of your belief in the importance of understanding science and technology in today's complex world.
Donors who contribute $1,000 or more are considered members of the President's Circle. These supporters provide a commitment to leadership while increasing awareness and enhancing the Library's visibility.
Throughout the year the Library hosts events and receptions for President's Circle members. These occasions offer personal opportunities to meet guest speakers prior to lectures and other presentations. Additionally, President's Circle members contributing at specific levels of support are offered opportunities for private viewings of items from the Library's special collections.
A new dimension to the development program, Corporate Partnership, is providing an array of options for Corporations to support the Library and enjoy special benefits and recognition for a program sponsorship. Some of the benefits include invitations to unique events and program activities, pre-lecture receptions and other marketing opportunities. Various levels of financial support are available to join the fundraising efforts by becoming a Corporate Partner and sponsoring public and educational programming.
Planned Gifts, Memorials, and Tributes
The Herbert and Linda Hall Legacy Society was formed to honor our friends who have included the Linda Hall Library in their estate plan or other planned gift arrangement. The Legacy Society increases awareness of the personal benefits of charitable gift planning and encourages the Library's friends to consider making a meaningful planned gift. Gifts received through an individual's planned giving instrument help build the endowment assuring a strong and sustainable future for the Linda Hall Library.
Memorial gifts are a wonderful way to remember special persons who have left us. Similarly, tribute gifts in honor of people in our lives help keep the collections preserved, the arboretum in pristine condition, and the programs you enjoy going strong. If you would like family members notified of a memorial gift, or an honoree notified of a gift made in tribute, we will send a special gift acknowledgement. Please include their names and addresses on the online form.
