Guide to Indices
There are several indicing tools that will help you move between exhibition items
- Table of Contents, Main Exhibit Entries. This lists and links the 49 works of the main exhibition, in exhibition order, by catch title (i.e., "Swimming Corythosaurus, 1916").
- Table of Contents, Supplementary Entries. This lists and links the 35 additional works that appear in the Web catalog but are not actually on exhibit. They are listed in virtual exhibition order, by catch title (i.e., "The T. rex skull, 1912").
- Complete Index and Bibliography. This lists and links all 84 works in the virtual exhibition. The list is in alphabetical order by author of the work displayed, and includes complete bibliographical information.
- Quick Index. This index is only useful once you are familiar with the exhibition, but then it is extremely useful. It provides, on one screen, a link to each of the 83 exhibit items, plus all other pages. The links are identified by author abbreviation and date (i.e., Man1825, for Gideon Mantell's 1825 article on Iguanodon).
- Opening Page. This will take you back to the beginning, in case you want to start over, or order the printed catalog, or get more information about this Web version of the exhibition catalog.
