A LEGACY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

The Information Age
Today
In the year 2000 we are firmly established in an information explosion. Although it is easy to envision a future where we no longer require books, we are a long way away from becoming a paperless society. At the Linda Hall Library, computers are used along side of books to fulfill the information needs of library clients.

The Linda Hall Library collections cover all areas of science, engineering, and technology. Active collection development and acquistion programs assure continued growth of current and historical collections and include an international exchange program. Acquisitions include the library of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Engineering Societies Library.
