Giving Opportunities

Contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations help the Library, in partnership with the Linda Hall Library Foundation, to engage in activities that educate and promote the fields of science, engineering, and technology, and encourage life-long learning.

Supporting the Linda Hall Library Foundation generates programs, exhibitions, and other events that provide a public venue for the deeper understanding of science, engineering, and technology. Recent programs include the Panama Canal exhibition, the Science of Longevity Colloquium and the upcoming 60th anniversary exhibition of the U.S. Interstate Highway System, “Gas, Food, Lodging.”

Planned Gifts

The Foundation formed the Herbert and Linda Hall Legacy Society to honor our friends who have included the Linda Hall Library in their estate plan or other planned gift arrangement. The Legacy Society raises awareness of the personal benefits of charitable gift planning and encourages the Linda Hall Library Foundation’s friends to make a meaningful planned gift. Gifts received help assure a strong and sustainable future for the Linda Hall Library.
