Apollo 11 Memories
The Apollo 11 moon landing on July 20, 1969, serves as a lasting memory for many of us. As the 50th-anniversary approaches, we began asking patrons, Linda Hall Library Foundation donors, and community leaders to share their memories of where they were when astronaut Neil Armstrong first stepped on the moon. We’ve compiled their memories on these pages, and we hope they spur memories for some of you about where you were when Armstrong took “one small step for (a) man…”
We invite you to view To the Moon: The Science of Apollo, which runs through August 30. Click here to learn more about programs related to the exhibition.
