Apollo 11 Memory

I was a young geologist working for the Indian Geological Survey (like USGS here) and was in my tent at the end of the day’s field work in the Himalayan mountains when, upon turning on my newly acquired transistor radio, heard the thrilling news that Neil Armstrong has landed on the Moon. Everyone in our little “tent camp” burst into applause and cheers!
